This option also changes the rear hubs and shaft/bearings to the M3 rear end ones. Also, I don't know if i will be able to reuse my UUC rear sway with this setup.

This is the option I am putting together right now so that my offsets on my rear won't change. With the exception of any bushings that you want to replace on a used Diff Carrier. I have been going there for years, I just havent ever owned a BMW, so the questions are many. I am trying to save money to put towards other mods.

Even on Ebay the parts shipped arent that bad. My buddy can help me out at large salvage yard in MD. well, it's quite an improvement coming from my 3.38 open diff. Parts list (minimum required for the swap)Īs for performance. As money and time allow, I will order a set of M3 sensors and test fit them to make sure the difference is only in the sensor and not the trailing arm mount. As a temporary solution, I spaced them out. Thise means the non-m sensors are longer and will not fit with the m3 axles in place. The abs rings on the non-m axles are smaller than those on the M3. The only major fitment issue is the rear wheel speed sensors. The non-m rear sway bar will not fit as it hits the differential. We will ship it separately in 10 to 15 days. Upgrade the diff mount to urethane or Delrin and avoid future trouble. It may be too worn out, causing too much flex and deflection, which will snap the bolt. If this bolt snapped we strongly urge you to check the condition of your front diff mount. It's also the pinch bolt for the front strut on E60 525xi/528xi/530xi/535xi models. This is the factory-recommended upgrade for the failure-prone original diff bolt on the E36. This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 33176760337 (33 17 6 760 337) and is described as the grade 10.9 M12x1.5x80mm mounting bolt for the front mount of the rear differential on F87 M2, E36, E46, F80, F82, E83, E85, and E89 models.
